Jackie Wilkosz, Founder

Jackie Wilkosz, JD, CIPP-US, is an attorney specializing in data privacy and data protection law and is the founder of Enlightened Privacy, PC. She has been practicing law for 10 years, with experience working at global law firms, in-house, and as an independent consultant before launching Enlightened Privacy, PC in 2019. Throughout her career, Jackie has provided legal counsel to global tech companies and many successful early stage companies. 

Jackie brings a solution-oriented mindset and thoughtful approach that fosters creativity and innovation. She drives collaboration through dynamic partnerships to generate practical, actionable advice. Jackie’s philosophy is that the culture and values of an organization should inform the “how” in any data protection initiative. Fusing her experience working in a large law firm with her in-house experience, she develops solutions grounded in practicality and designed with implementation in mind. 

Prior to starting EP, Jackie worked at Intuit (maker of TurboTax and QuickBooks). While at Intuit, she led enterprise-wide projects, driving cross-functional teams across multiple teams and business units. At Intuit, Jackie worked extensively on GDPR and HR privacy initiatives, transactional privacy, as well as structuring the global privacy program.  

Prior to Intuit, Jackie advised mostly start-up clients on U.S. and global data protection and privacy matters at Cooley LLP. Prior to Cooley, Jackie advised large and mid-size clients in global data protection and privacy compliance as well as commercial transactions at Baker & McKenzie in Chicago.

Jackie received her law degree from the University of Illinois, where she served as an Associate Editor of the Illinois Law Review. She also received a Master’s degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences from the University of Illinois. Jackie is admitted to the Bar in California and Illinois. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US). She has also completed a certificate program in Spiritual Psychology at the University of Santa Monica.

With savvy and humor, Jackie makes the daunting process of facing legal challenges educational, collaborative, and fun. Jackie brings a uniquely enlightened approach to privacy law and compliance.


Irene Mo, Senior Associate

Irene Mo is an attorney with experience counseling clients on United States and international privacy and data protection laws and regulations. She is skilled in distilling complex legal issues into practical and actionable legal guidance. She has helped companies of all sizes, from early-stage startups to Fortune 500, build and scale their privacy and data security compliance programs.

Prior to joining Enlightened Privacy, PC, Irene worked at Hintze Law and Aleada Consulting to establish her niche in privacy and data security. Known as a problem solver, Irene’s clients trust her to collaborate across multiple business units within their companies to get privacy done. When there is a Hail Mary pass, her clients know she’s the one getting the ball across the goal line.

Irene’s approach to compliance is centered on continuous, incremental improvements with value placed on people, processes, and then technology (in that order). She can quickly understand a client’s business, values, and priorities to effectively implement and operationalize compliance initiatives and to help move the needle on internal privacy and data security culture. Irene has shared her expertise at several national and international conferences including the RSA Conference, DEF CON, American Bar Association conferences, and International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) conferences.

Irene graduated with honors from Michigan State University College of Law and received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, both with distinction, from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Irene is licensed to practice law in California and Michigan. She is a Fellow of Privacy (FIP) of the IAPP, after becoming a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) in United States and European privacy laws and a Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT). She also became a Fellow of Privacy Technology by earning all 10 OneTrust certifications, including the OneTrust Certified Professional certification and 9 expert certifications.

In her free time, Irene is on the leadership board of several non-profits including Women in Security and Privacy (WISP), the Diversity in Privacy Section for the IAPP, and Lagniappe Law Lab.
